2020, perspective

I dont know about you but this isolation period in all of our lives at once has really deeply affected me. I didnt think it would really. But lo, it has.

I think hourly on things like who am I, what matters, why are people so foolish, what will we be moving forward from this, are other people as deeply affected as I am, what are they thinking, is it hurting us, is it making us better, what about the loss, where is the mourning, why isnt it public, i am upset by this, i am in mourning, i am not even worried anymore, encouragement? hope? what about loss? has anyone addressed this loss, folks its friggin deep.

Those of us who are stuck at home are avoiding the underlying feeling that the world is ending by watching a steady stream of netflixhuluprime and making beercheesecrochetpaintings... but I find myself crying over a myriad of newly sentimental things like rock concert videos and driving past the pizza parlor and hearing an editorial on NPR about how parents should let themselves off the hook for failing at being their childs teacher assistant and managing remote learning.  and then theres the obvious thing were all trying to avoid, the government. what a bag of dicks. Its devastating. On so many levels, we are all going through an intense period of loss.

Put in perspective, our supermarkets diminished supply is nothing like post world war II Russia. Its nothing like the great depression. Our death toll, even the worlds death toll is not(yet) anything even remotely close to the death toll from starvation and malnutrition every year...
FYI, that is this number:    9,000,000.
And even after all this, our displaced persons number in the US will be an atrocity, but it will never come close to the number of displaced people currently living in camps worldwide...
That number is this:    70,000,000.

So, if you read this, you are probably not suffering. But on some level we are all suffering. Because if the above numbers exist, then the world is suffering and by extention so are we. But this steady stream of stuff stands in the way of us seeing or knowing that others are suffering, and we are content not knowing and not having to feel that ongoing loss.

Please let just one minute of this loss filter through to your consciousness. I swear to you, you will live through it. But you will also change. And that change needs to happen on a gigantic scale pretty damn soon, or we are absolutely doomed to see all the numbers increase.

Netflix can not save us from the catastrophic failure of our hearts to acknowledge our grief.

What MORATORIUM NOW Means and why you should use it as a comment

MORATORIUM NOW  should be an International  DEMAND.
MORATORIUM NOW is an action to Suspend all oil, gas, fossil fuel extraction, coal and mineral mining worldwide except for limited uses in medical and humanitarian needs. Limiting fossil fuel extraction, plastics production and steel production, limiting all metal/ore smelting and production. Brownout type reductions on smelting and refining. Banning clear cuts and "controlled" burns. Redetermining usage / output regulations making them strictly Scheduled to Give Relief to Environmental Systems (ie. Air, Water, Soil, Forests, Wildlife, Indigenous and Local Communities.) Limiting Shipping, in all forms, of all fossil fuels, coal, mined ores. The moratorium is extended to chemical production as well. Adhesives, paints, solvents etc. I would like to see non essential plastics be Banned, ie: toys and other useless items and most especially plastic packaging of all kinds especially bottles. And the final piece is for waste. NO Waste can be shipped or dumped in the sea. None, not solid or liquid.  There should also be a moratorium on Shipping. With strict regulations for what should and should not be shipped. This WILL Impact everyone and many very small businesses will need to be compensated, obviously.  
We cant keep doing the same thing expecting different results.

The only thing that oil and gas should be used for is basic human needs like heating and food supply, and life saving things such as Hospitals and dialysis, the fabrication of medical equipment and other Life Saving and Essential manufacture purposes.
 There is a way for big companies to do this, and  IT WILL MAKE THEM LOOK GOOD.
Its great Public Relations. And they could avoid going to JAIL.

What is a feminist?

A Feminist Is  A Person Who Understands that the current social structures of the World are dominated by men, and that there is inequality and injustice toward women and other gendered/sexually oriented people  because of those social structures and ideas. A Feminist Works to deconstruct those current modes and replace them with fair, inclusive Co-created new social structures that allow freedom and protection for all people. 

I have seen America, We have plenty of room.

I have been to 38 states, driving or on a train, so I can honestly say that I have seen most of America. Considering the fact that the Entire population of the earth would actually Fit; all be it very uncomfortably (think: ant farm), in the cubic area of the Grand Canyon; I have actually done the math; we have PLENTY of room here. There is absolutely no physical reason for homelessness in the ENTIRE WORLD.  There is ONLY ONE REASON for homelessness and poverty in this world: GREED.  It is not hatred; hatred is a subtext of greed. Hatred is a devisional tool used by the greedy to manipulate others to do the dirty work.
There are visibly poor people in every state in America. Some states have a lot more poverty than others, namely Alabama and Mississippi and Louisiana. They have less homelessness and more poor. The states with least homeless people are Alaska, North Dakota and Wyoming. The places with most are California and New York because they are the wealthiest states. Begging is more "lucrative" in their cities and there are more mentally ill people in a larger population. Up to 30% of homeless people are mentally ill  with no proper sources of care.
I am so sick of the strange comments on facebook about how some people, namely immigrants (but a lot of other groups get named or implied in the typical classist racist anti immigrant rhetoric), dont deserve to be here and dont deserve to be given any rights in detainment centers. It not only offends me,  it TROUBLES  me.
We Can Not Go On in this manner.
Today it was implied that immigrants dont deserve emergency medical attention because it costs taxpayers, also implied was that poor people shouldnt get it either because they are dead beats basically. When pressed they went on to say that immigrants who take their children over the border from far flung places are "bad parents". So I responded with this:
Right, so people who work, that dont get paid well, whose employers dont cover with health insurance. who have no money left over to buy insurance because their rent utilities food laundry and gasoline and car insurance and car repair bills are more than they can afford, those people who are single, or married, and have children or dogs or grandparents, they should just go to hell? And guess what, that IS who is going to the ER,  hundreds of thousands of them all over america, because their other expenses are so high. The percentage of immigrants who use the ER is lower than the plain old american citizens who cant afford insurance. And those people are NOT deadbeat losers. They are working people with BILLS and kids and cars and grandparents or parents that they support. Many states do Not have appropriate services for adults; Social Security does not pay enough for most seniors to live on; Medicare doesnt cover everything. This is Not an immigrant problem. This is a SOCIAL Issue in our country. Im sure none of you live in alabama west Va. tennessee "missip" florida missouri, s and n dakota, indiana new hampshire, arizona... some of the states that dont have good governments and have really bad systems. The lower middle class is suffering there at the hands of their own stupidity. and someday so will all of you as long as you think like your foolish friends and relatives who keep the corporately funded republican agenda alive by spewing this classist racist rhetoric that you think is somehow righteous. You apparently havent watched your own parent or child or friend die because they didnt have proper care or insurance. You apparently have never lost your job and had to use public services to feed your family, or worse, been denied services and LOST Everything and wound up on the street with 4 kids and grandma. And These Immigrants? they WALK sometimes thousands of miles to get away from their shitty lives and their terrible selfish fat cat governments to escape and find a better life. YOU Cant even BEGIN to Understand Them. Stop acting like you Know Anything.  ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. IMMIGRANTS ARE PEOPLE TOO.
Of course, he then told me I was too emotional and making it personal and the thing about being bad parents and I responded:
First of all, this Is a personal issue or You wouldnt care and I wouldnt care. This is a personal ISSUE. Secondly, Immigrants are people and they deserve to be treated humanely and given true emergency care regardless of their status. The issue is what our government and the world governments at large do to make this situation one of impinging on the middle class tax payer in america, read: you. You care because its your dollar. If our government gave you health care with your tax dollar this would be a non issue and we could talk about illegal entry. Lets take this ER thing off the table. Its a non issue because frankly the trillions of dollars of tax payer money that the govt spent on war is really the reason why we cant have national health care today, oh and corporate insurance greed. Not immigration. So your taxes, and your dollars are in the wind because of our governments and the world at large being sick greedy fucks in each others pockets screwing every living person out of a decent life in every way that they can to keep their easy cake jobs and their fancy cars and trophy wives. Not the poor suffering bastards who you just called bad parents. Wait, I just realized, you said that. That is really screwed up. Why am I bothering to to explain anything to you? I mean What??!! Bad parents? Dude... YOU SUCK.
and then I laughed for a few minutes and then I blocked him.
But that isnt the answer to this issue. The Moral Issue of Our LIFETIME  is at hand my friends. We have martyrs already.  IT IS ON.
The other day I was inspired to write this:

IF WE IMAGINE, for a moment,  that the Border is Real, and that our government is justly founded and legitimate and that all of us, its citizens, are not illegal immigrant criminals; if we put aside the fact that the US is full of white people who seized and stole this country from the indigenous tribes thereby making the border an utterly imaginary, non-thing that we think is rational and real...  Then what exactly are we saying here? That for some weird reason... it is acceptable that "other" people are being treated badly in this country by government agencies and police? And this Bad Treatment, what are the parameters by which you measure it's acceptability? And these "other" people, these "aliens", what are the qualifiers for their acceptability?
You're not really ready to make those distinctions are you? To say 39 hours is okay for a child to be locked in a van, but 42 hours, now that would be bad.
 And this idea of "other" is really out of hand folks. Get a grip. WE are the "aliens".
What the hell is wrong with everybody? FACE IT, FACE THIS: WE are the descendants of Criminals, Land Thieves and Murderers. WE ARE THE  ILLEGAL ALIEN IMMIGRANTS. 
It is Outrageous Hubris how we stomp around this place like entitled babies grabbing at things with our sweaty baby hands saying "Thats mine, Gimme that! wah wah" and making putrid messes everywhere on everything and scratching the "other" childrens faces and just having a tantrum ALL of the Time!!!
   

  As per the laws and protocols of the United States Immigration Department you are not illegal if you come to the border and ask to come in, that is an asylum seeker, or a legitimate immigration applicant. You are not even considered illegal if you try to cross without asking, you are then a detainee, awaiting process. You are "illegal" if you got in and didnt tell anyone and stayed and made money, but that still doesnt make you a criminal before the entry, and even if you were a criminal, why should you be treated INHUMANELY? 

If One is rational, One would be predisposed to be considerate and fair to ANY person who comes to the "border" here, bearing in mind that One is ALSO an Illegal Alien, from a long family line of Illegal Aliens, who were quite possibly criminals, land theives, murderers... One might have the utmost humility and respect for those whose may have suffered and died at the hands of one's  forefathers and for those descendants now sitting before you, awaiting Your Judgment.

Futurism equals Climate Disaster

There is a dichotomy of thought in the world, and in many of our own minds, about the future.
On one hand is the notion of a futuristic space travel hover car world. Asimov and Roddenberry et al may be to blame but we perpetuate it.
On the other hand is the ominous eventuality of climate change and climate disaster.
Together they equal dystopia.
The futuristic imaginings can only eventuate as Climate Disaster.
All of the raw material needed and the energy required to Build such a Musk/ Bezos future can only be  created by capitalist Polluting dystopian fascists of our nightmares. Make no mistake, this is the truth.  It is happening right now under our noses while we all dream of the future of floating cars and missions to mars like silly girls dreaming of princes in our pink ruffled bedrooms.
All of the ugly landscapes in all the futuristic science fiction movies and novels already exist and will only continue to grow until there is nothing left. The refugee and prison camps of displaced and policed people Exist all over the world and they continue to grow: Turkey, China, United States, Kashmir, Philippines, Lebanon, India, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia(a mix of countries with either detainment or refugee camps)... the current number of displaced persons is now 70.8 million worldwide. The highest number ever. That is fucking astronomical.  The number of Detained persons in this country is over 350,000.  In China it's over a million; look up Uyghrs. Turkey has over 3 million Syrian refugees. 

So, listen to me... You Have to come to terms with this nonsense fairytale of a futuristic world of floating cars and magical fingertip easy controls and flying into space to meet aliens. It cant happen without the total toxic pollution destruction of our oceans and entire planet and the murder of millions and the police state violent detention and mind control enslavement of 90% of the population. It is Happening Right Now.

You have to ERASE the white privelege concepts of space travel and smart homes from your minds right now because that shit is sending us straight to hell.

Mass production and computers in every room and cell phones and missions to Mars eat up Energy and resources. Energy is made with fossil fuels and Nuclear power. Burning fossil fuels is destroying the Air, destroying the oceans, polluting the land and causing climate disaster. Nuclear power is Dangerous and is currently killing sealife in the pacific and Arctic ocean due to accidents in Japan and Russia.  Resources are ores and minerals Ores are mined. Mines are filthy toxic pollution sites. Toxic Pollution is destroying the Earth and causing climate disaster, there by killing us all.
Just because a bunch of wealthy priveleged white aristocrats wanted to get richer at the turn of the century and made investments in Oil, Steel, Manufacturing and Shipping Does NOT Mean that it was Ever a Good Idea. It was Never a Good Idea.  There are dozens of  toxic metals being mined and smelted! Shipping is Filthy. It is toxic from the manufacture of steel to building of ships to use of oil to power ships to oil spills to death of sea life to polluting of waters to polluting of ports to mistreatment and displacement of indigenous people... Oil is the same list plus oil spills and devastation of wildlife, wilderness and coral reefs. Manufacturing is the pinnacle, inclusive of all the Big 3 polluters plus the incalculable devastation of the entire planet due to Waste including the biggest threat, Plastic Packaging. 
Thats your future folks, if you keep believing the fairytale of futurism. The Fairytale of space travel. The fairy tale of computerised android slavebots to do your bidding. The fairytale that we are creating right now because the white robber barons made up a world for us. We must destroy the ideas they forced onto us with the ease of the toaster and the dishwasher in every home. Now it is the cell phone and the laptop. Soon it will be the robot and the flying car. Righteousness, religion, revolution: Why the Enlightenment, the founding fathers and Science brought forth a new nation...

 A few centuries ago ...

A few centuries ago there was a time period that is now known as the enlightenment, when observers of natural events had cataloged, researched and created scientific thought and practice, when others had observed society at large, and people specifically, and compiled data to form new social structures that included fairness and equality as their Primary Tenets. It was a time of great need in a world of much greed and tyranny of kings and savage businessmen... It was a time when religion was corrupt and oppressive and seething with politic and hatred... A time when the world could be HAD.

Now is also such a time... and our closed minded idea of living in an advanced Age is exposed to brutal truth. We are being Had.

Slavery is rampant and practiced everywhere Still, it Never went away.
Religions are petty and puerile and mean and selfish.
Politics are festering piles of boiling diarrhea.
Governments are owned by corporations.
The world is a cesspool of polluted filth.

This is a true turning point of humanity.

We either have to change in a dramatic positive way immediately or perish.

The founding fathers brought forth a new nation during this period of enlightenment on the basis of science and fairness and moral philosophy for the betterment of mankind, not freedom of religion per se, that is merely a tenet, not a basis! The righteousness of fundamentalist christians here in the United States is not based on reality. The founders were against governance by the church and tyranny. Righteousness has no place in government. Freedom of religion is just a basic right, not a podium on which to oppress people! Thats what the authors of our founding documents thought.
I mean, How can any human person in this bright future present - How can Any One believe that they are gods chosen person and that they have a right and an obligation to convert people to their fairy tale rule book or condemn them or, worse, to harm and kill them for not believing? ! Shocking does not adequately describe the preposterousness of this idea!!

Populations have been revolting against tyrants and oppressors for so long that One would hope - that in general - Everyone should be aware that Injustice and oppression exist, they are unfair and wicked, they cause all the suffering in the world and they need to be avoided, and put down and deposed at all times. It is The FOUNDING PRINCIPLE OF THIS NATION THAT WE ARE ALL EQUAL HERE AND THAT WE DEMAND OUR NATION TO BE JUST AND FAIR AND COMPASSIONATE. (We have yet to truly live up to it though.)

Fair and Equal is the Standard to which we Aspire. Over the years the people who actually read our foundational documents and study the laws and have integrity, have expanded the rights and freedom of many oppressed people.

Therefore, IT DOES NOT FOLLOW...It does NOT Follow that in This Nation of Free and Equal, Anti Tyranny, Anti Oppression, This Revolutionary, Enlightenment Era, Free Thinking, Nation of Tolerance and Humanitarianism... That we would EVER EVER EVER  EVER Allow fundamentalists to write laws, bribe representatives, steal elections, revoke rights, infiltrate our public opinions, defame and punish people, oppress our citizens, nor allow them to harm and kill those they don't agree with.  It's bad enough that we allowed industrialists and now corporations and war opportunists to run the world forever

But that is exactly what is happening, here and everywhere.  Christian Fundamentalism alone is swelling to an infectious tsunami sized wave of intolerance hate fear blame and Yes, killing that can Not be Allowed at All. NO. Never.

The righteous religious population has swallowed a lie, and they are puking it up on the rest of us. It makes me sick! their motto of helpless ignorant non understanding is this: Ours is not to reason why, ours is but to do and die.... because god said so. It's ridiculous.

I do Not believe in fairies. And I am so happy to be free of such nonsense really. People have the horrible tendency to revert to childish thinking, or passive denial of responsibility to question authority. During the enlightenment when the alleged founding fathers (and their wives, sisters, mothers, girl friends and female acquaintances) THOUGHT About REALITY, they Most Certainly Did Question Authority!!

Carl Sandburg once wrote, in a children's story called "Three boys with jugs of molasses and secret ambitions", from the book Rootabaga Stories, "A secret ambition is a little creeper that creeps saying - come and find me, come and find me".

If you feel a special sort of excitement or awe or fear or like you might cry when you read the words telling you that you are are the salvation of the world, I just want you to know that it is really really extra super good for you to feel that feeling. Hold Onto That.

Object Lesson

Sad days are upon us... difficult days. I look at myself and I know I am not physically strong enough to march and rage against the machine and get arrested protesting every fucking atrocity in our sick and crumbling nation... We are so foolish to presume that we have progressed as humans.

I love this world. It is so beautiful. I really love life and all the wonderful things that happen in our lives.

But the simple and true things of this world are hidden now by the nonsense of the societies we have created.

Do you want your life back? Do you want the earth back? Do you even realize that it is being taken from you? (I sound like a conspiracy theorist here, but the world is actually being run by greed infested capitalist corporations, not secret societies, they are right there out in the open, in front of our faces turning the earth into a waste dump.)

I propose an object lesson. A social experiment.

Let us all do something every day for the rest of our lives that promotes the well being of the planet, of our neighbors and ourselves. Let us all reach out beyond the realm of our insular paranoid silly selfish greedy petty lives and make a safe place in this wretched world of despair and separation.

Make small talk with someone you would normally never speak to. Say hello to every person you see. Give something away to a really needy person. Learn to speak another language. Buy books for a school library in the poor part of your region. Buy blankets and coats and give them to a shelter. Walk down the street to that very old lady's or man's house and bring some fruit or flowers and give them your phone number. Offer someone a ride. Stop buying juice in plastic bottles. Tell someone who doesn't understand about pesticides and organics why its so important. Grow a garden. Don't use miracle grow. Buy organic seeds. Tell a joke to the guy waiting on a line with you. Tell someone they look good. Be friendly despite your own problems. Be candid about your own flaws. Tell someone off who is being a real prick to you or someone else with very polite yet searing words and take their photo with your phone. Smile. Bring more food with you and share it generously. Buy some random person dinner, or lunch or Water. And be their friend. Tell them about this whole thing, about taking the fate of our world away from the corporations and the politicians and the bankers and the greedy haters  and the fearful zealots.... by being friends with everyone and by banding together across every possible barrier until the whole population of the world is unified together to protect the earth and the kind people and animals in it.

Begin to Believe that You are the Salvation of the World because YOU ARE.

CHOOSE TO BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL CHANGE THE WORLD

I want us all to realize the limitations of our religions and our beliefs and our cultural conditioning so that we can begin to Grow in an important way. A way that will enable us to Be the Ones who can and will and are changing the world.

The people out there fighting, for the world to be a better place in every aspect of reality, Know that they have to step out of their own limitations to do what is required of them to succeed, to even try to succeed.
They know that they have to psych themselves into doing seemingly crazy risky things to get the issue in the news, to get people to pay attention. So Many people are unconscious, brainwashed, subverted, perverted from truth, goodness, kindness... and they have no idea how perverse they are. We ourselves are deluded and perverse. I myself am cynical and depressed and free falling most of the time. I am writing this to talk myself into doing what needs to be done to make the world a better place, to stop the poisoning of the earth, etc.

We all need to reinforce in our selves and others that we Must do what needs to be done Now. If you have a strong faith that promotes this behavior that is great. But most people have religious and social limitations that tell them that they can't achieve anything or that it is not acceptable to participate in radical activism. Most people are afraid to be arrested, myself included, at a rally or blockade. I am not necessarily suggesting that we should be arrested as a solution either.

What I want to impart to you with this new self concept mantra that I am evolving:
CHOOSE TO BEGIN TO LEARN TO BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS THE SALVATION OF ALL OF HUMANITY ALL SPECIES AND THE ENTIRE EARTH, RIGHT NOW, TODAY, WITH ME AND EVERYONE ELSE....
  Is that THIS IS Possible, and with this mantra You can prepare yourself;  We can prepare Ourselves for The Day When It Will Be Necessary to Be This Strong.  Because That Day is coming, That Day IS Here.

Most religions are based on supernatural unprovable stories with large judgmental punishing deities that they are taught to embrace and to fear. I want to say that this is really not the point anymore, largely because the Sinners are raping the earth, poisoning the air, soil and water, charging us for it too! The Sinners are robbing the poor to feed their fat faces. The Sinners are preaching gospels, and chanting prayers while they kill their enemies. The Sinners are hiding behind God and religion while they starve the innocent and poison the meek. The Sinners are sullying the religions and twisting them into hideous pretzels while the innocent and the meek are looking away, afraid to speak, unable to fight the powerful wealthy abusers.  We, the meek, the disenfranchised, the poor, the average, the middle class... are not the real sinners anymore. Were we ever? Sin is contextual, folks.

I ask you to entertain the idea that we are not sinners, or meek, or less, or just followers, just congregants. I want us to entertain the idea, the core belief, that we are masters of our own destiny. More than that, Masters of the destiny of the earth and of humanity as a whole, NOW. With No god, no religion, no doctrine to Divide us.

That is the part that is the most important. There can be no divide, No differences between us. We all must be equal with no god to divide us, no ideal to divide us. No Doctrine, and most especially no Messiah who is going to come and fix everything.
Because WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO WAIT FOR THAT.

The only tenets should be:
Equality and Human Rights for all people, 
Sustainable Land and resources for all Species, 
Humane treatment for all species, 
No resource stripping, 
No private-profit ownership of national resources most especially water,  
No Pollution or overt damage to the Environment, 
No Land grabbing, 
No Religious Oppression., and/or oppression by religions.
No War

We are totally brainwashed to believe that this can't become manifest by our weird misunderstanding of free enterprise, especially in this country. For example; It is ridiculous that a person can profit-own an aquifer! I really don't mind land ownership, (but how'd you get that land?)  BUT Water? Sure, you can have your own well on your own land but can you own an aquifer? Serious question. Serious. And you, We, should be really interested in the answer. We should also be interested in the utter disregard that gas and chemical companies and governments have for said well/land ownership. We should be Disturbed by it. It should make us lose sleep every night until we can't rest until this problem is resolved on the side of the innocent people who have had their rights, their land, their water devalued and poisoned by the powerful. But that level of awareness and compassion is Not happening enough in this world.

The greedy powerful corporations are running rampant on this earth and Our Attitude of meekness and helplessness Is Destroying OUR Planet.

We are Complicit Because WE Believe that we Have No Power.

So, Again, I am Asking you to repeat with me:

I CHOOSE TO BEGIN TO LEARN TO BELIEVE THAT I AM THE SALVATION OF ALL OF HUMANITY ALL SPECIES AND THE ENTIRE EARTH, RIGHT NOW, TODAY, WITH YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE.

 What could it hurt? Just try it out. Think about it.

On the end of the world as we know it.

Hundreds of years ago children were abused regularly. 20 years ago children were abused regularly. And today children are abused regularly. We used to like to think that had stopped and that everything is all rosy in the world... we, Americans... westerners. And we used to like to think that slavery was abolished so it doesn't exist anymore any where... But None of this is true. People aren't just starving to death in Ethiopia. They are starving to death in your neighbors house, locked in a closet. And they are being married off (read: sold), not just in Yemen, not just in India but all over the world, even here in America. By ignorant poverty stricken fundamentalists... And not so ignorant, not so poor, not so religious people, too. Abused, neglected, sold, yes SOLD , and prostituted, and you name it... it is happening. Thailand, Viet Nam, Cambodia, Russia, Sudan, Chad, Mexico, Peru, China, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Iraq, Yemen, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, America.  This is just countries that I have read about recently without trying to research at all.

So what?

Well, in keeping with what I am trying to teach myself to do and be.  It is the truth we all have to face in order to wake up to the reality that we are the ones who will change the world. The time is long past when anyone can believe that "someone else will do something about that." And just because you are not the one out on the street or chasing down the child abuser with your camera and your sword, you have to get behind the idea that you would, you will, you can, you want to and you are in spiritual allegiance with the one who does. At any given moment you will have read and seen just enough information and truth and raw reality to finally be moved. You will finally be moved to accept your position, your true power, your right, your responsibility to be the salvation of the world.

What do I really mean by that? And what is my intention behind saying this over and over again?

Well, let's just say that we all just continue to think about ourselves in the same way forever that we always have. With insecurities or bad things people said about us or critical voices or guilt or apathy...
What will happen then? NOTHING MUCH.
But if we teach ourselves every day that we ARE the ones who will change the world... over and over and over in the mirror every morning, in the car, at work, on the bus, at the gas station, standing in line, watering the lawn, sweeping the floor: I am the one who will change the world.  I AM THE ONE WHO WILL CHANGE THE WORLD  say it. Say It. I dare you.

Maybe your compassion for children and poor and enslaved people wont tip the scale for you. Maybe the climate change imminent destruction of the earth is what will do it for you. I guess I am doing my best to tip the scale; maybe one of my posts will finally break your apathy meter... when will you finally say to yourself... I AM THE ONE WHO IS THE SALVATION OF ALL HUMANITY, ALL SPECIES AND THE ENTIRE PLANET RIGHT NOW TODAY.

And I am just as powerless and feeble and useless as you. I am writing these things to wake myself up to the truth, that I am the salvation of the world, with you and everyone else.
I hope that you get it. I hope that you can understand what I am going for here. It's a mantra. It's a prayer. It's a chant. It's a resistance anthem. It is a mindset. It is a philosophy. It is a battle cry. It is a heart song. A vision quest. A wish, a dream... anything new and different has started as a crazy dream and yet we have this amazing little box of light with all the known knowledge of the universe here in our hands ...

Anything IS Possible.

PTSD, and the Redemption

I am sitting here in my air conditioning... thinking about the world.

The north pole is a lot warmer this year, with more open water than ever instead of ice floes. I saw a photograph of a tornado they claimed was 4 miles wide. The southern states are restricting voting rights. People are being arrested for trying to change things for the better. Plastic is everywhere and driving me crazy. Crazy. I think about it constantly. The birds and fish and dolphin bellies all filled with little bits of lethal plastic.

At the bottom of all of these horrors is greed, and hate.

What can be done? How in the world will this stop?

I mean it could just go on this way, until the end, the horrible end, the disastrous end.

But, what about stopping it before that horror?
What about stopping it?

How can we stop greed and hate? and all their ugly repercussions...

I mean stop it forever.

At the basis of this question is optimism.

At the basis of this question is a fundamental belief.

It is deeper and more reverent that anything written or touted by all the religious and non religious, past and present.

The story of Adam tries in vain to tell it. But, the truth is not that we were thrown out of paradise for trying to know truth, but instead, that we have not entered it because we haven't grasped the truth yet. Not in the weird Buddhist enlightenment, all is illusion, bullshit sense though, but in a very clear tangible way; we are right here now and this is real.

The orthodox Jews have this concept of mitzvah; for every good deed you do you are bringing the time of the Meshiach closer... but they ignore and justify using millions of plastic utensils and styrofoam plates.... (that is exempt because it is more important for them to be kosher than it is to stop wasting and polluting.)

Strange values. I think that preparing the way for the messiah includes cleaning and caring for the planet. This is everyone's planet, not just one person or group.

Whatever your weird motivation is in this life... IT IS BULLSHIT.

THAT'S RIGHT I AM TELLING YOU NOW THAT EVERY MATERIAL THING YOU THINK IS IMPORTANT, AND EVEN YOUR ESOTERIC, LESS TANGIBLE WANTS AND NEEDS
 ARE BULLSHIT.

I have been sitting here in my air conditioning, BORED OUT OF MY MIND, and kind of worried about that. I don't have a car and I live in the boonies so I have a lot of time on my hands... what's your excuse?

Anyway, I had been writing a lot, but then in May I just stopped. I haven't written a word. I am overwhelmed by the state of the world and by the idea that I alone have the power to change it all. I am in shock over that knowledge. It sounds idiotic. It sounds megalomaniacal. But I mean, you alone have the power to change the entire world forever, and so do I and everyone else... and that is so, SO Shocking to us... We just can't handle it at all. So we sit in our air conditioning, and watch netflix and facebook and youtube filling ourselves with all the knowledge of all of the known universe.. and Do Nothing.

This is not to say that all of you do nothing ... no, I know that you are thinkers and talkers and activists and readers and recyclers...

But you are also in shock, traumatic shock.

I know, because I am in traumatic shock EVERY DAY and I know the signs.

It is amazing how much we actually do, in the condition we are in. But we are tired from running after the brass (read: plastic) ring... and trying to be good recyclers etc.

I once thought that emotional exhaustion was the worst. But spiritual exhaustion is worse.
I am both emotionally and spiritually exhausted. And so are you no matter what you say or think or feel to the contrary. At this point in our spiritual evolution, we are all as traumatised as a starving, emaciated, orphaned baby orangutan found in the tread of a giant tractor in a deforested rain forest/palm oil plantation.

We are no longer Bedouin nomads fearing enslavement, or filthy malnourished illiterate beggars who need religion and fear of God. .... In our country we are all geniuses and kings in comparison to the first Jews and the first Christians and the first Buddhists, and most of the world has more access to knowledge and information than EVER. We are in a new evolutionary period of spiritual awareness and development. And it is much more demanding of us.

All of the religions of the world failed to lead us to redemption and salvation and world peace. They fail across the board!!! Why? Because they are Divisive!! And persecutory, AND Limited, and exclusive and excluding, and righteous and unbelievable and require proof and lineages, and supernatural bushes and dragons and messiahs and apocalypses and revelations and prophesies and nonsense, ad infinitum. It's old crazy bullshit claiming God said this and that and God told me but not you and God this and Buddha said this (read: Corporeal Existence) is all just going to pass away or God will make it disappear and God will save us, blah blah blah bullshit... women can't wear revealing clothes, they can't be priests, they can't be rabbis, even the Bahai's blew it on women and homosexuals.... Religions Blew It.
Soooo...
It is OUT OF THEIR HANDS NOW.

I, Personally, am taking it out of their hands. They can follow me, and you, but they can't lead anymore, not ever again.

Again, I ask you... What can we do to take greed and hatred out of the human experience permanently?

Realize that you are not a barbarian, you are not going to die if your neighbor lives, you will not be struck by lightning if you fornicate or go to town unchaperoned....

The foolish nonsense that threatens us through religious oppression has brought us to a point of disgusting hatred and greed. The good tenets of Judaism are outweighed by their exclusivity, the good tenets of Christianity are far outweighed by their pedophilia and homophobia and Papal wealth, the good tenets of Islam are far Far outweighed by their xenophobic hatred and gender oppression and sectarianism. The good tenets of Buddhism are outweighed by their ridiculous concept of this reality being transient and illusory and therefore what? That just gives us All an undeserved Pass to not care if we fail to do the right thing.

NONE OF US DESERVES A PASS IF WE FAIL TO DO THE RIGHT THING.
I DON'T WANT JESUS' OR BUDDHA'S FORGIVENESS AND I DON'T WANT TO LIVE TO SEE THE DAY OF GODS REDEMPTION.

I WANT MY REDEMPTION NOW AT MY OWN HANDS.

I WANT THE SALVATION OF ALL MANKIND AND ALL SPECIES AND THE ENTIRE EARTH, NOW, AT MY OWN HANDS.

RIGHT NOW, RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND.
BECAUSE I AM EXHAUSTED. BECAUSE I AM TRAUMATISED. BECAUSE ALL OF US ARE SICK AND TIRED AND ABOUT TO FALL DOWN AND FAIL.....

HOW DO I MAKE THIS A REALITY? HOW DO I ALONE BRING ABOUT THE SALVATION OF ALL HUMANITY TODAY?

THAT IS EXHAUSTING.

Can I say to you now that I Know this is true and possible and my true destiny? without your scorn? disbelief, laughter, rejection? Yeah, I can. Because it is your true destiny as well. We are actually the salvation of humanity. You and Me.  Believe this now, and forever with every fiber of your being. You are the salvation and the way. You are the new dawn, the redemption of the entire planet. You and you alone, and me, and everyone else. Know it, feel it think it Be it all day every day, even when you are tired and sad and lonely. remember that you are the way and the life you are becoming that which you are becoming you are the reckoning you are the light you are love you are You Are. And so am I and everyone else.

There is a deep flaw in our concept of ourselves that has been perpetuated for thousands of years, that we are inherently flawed. This is not true. Everything we do is a choice. A Choice. Perhaps circumstantial, but a choice none the less. That is how we came up with the idea of redemption to begin with. The belief that we are flawed and punished, banished out of Eden, in sin... unenlightened, etc. But We Are Not Flawed. We Are The Messiah, Every One of us is Equal to each other and to the highest form which is God, and the lowest form... parameceum? bozons?  You know it... I know it... we all know it.
So, Accept Your Power, Your True Identity.

Choose to believe that you and I and everyone else are the saviours of the earth. And Choose to be that deep in your soul, and Choose to DO IT. CHOOSE TO SAVE THE PLANET WITH ME AND EVERYONE ELSE... even if you do nothing today and nobody you know does anything tomorrow, we are beginning to Learn to Believe that we are going to be... TO BE THE REDEMPTION RIGHT NOW THIS SECOND AT OUR OWN HAND.

doll arm and an old, used straw.

or the skeletal remains of a
pelican revealing the stomach contents
are a plastic tampon applicator,
a water bottle top and a bic lighter.

A few years ago I was Poisoned BY CHEESE. An environmental humanist ramble...

Here is something I wrote a few years ago.

I haven't written anything in several days. I am sure there is something inside my head, but I can't hear it because my ears are ringing because I was poisoned by cheese. Laid out like a sick dog for 5 days. And it all starts with cheese, that had Listeria bacteria in it. [which I found out almost 4 months later, when Whole Foods recalled it because someone died.] When I went to whole foods with my friend to buy food for her birthday party, We tasted cheeses. I got a headache later, and then terrible gas. It subsided the next day, but I felt tired, crampy, cold, uncomfortable, irritable, foggy for two days.  I dreamed that I was sick! I woke up with a sore throat. My ears started ringing incessantly.

Then we had the party. I felt ok, but slightly foggy still. I prepared the food for the party and sliced the cheese for the event. I tasted a few pieces. Almost immediately the headache returned. A dull pain in my eyebrow close to the bridge of my nose. I got tired, groggy, and lost all my energy. I ate some cheese when the party started. Finally I just couldn't keep going and I went to bed because of the headache. I woke up with it the next day. I felt shaky and my ears itched inside like when I had an allergic reaction to Sulfa. So, I drank about 10 glasses of water and ate plain white rice and boiled green vegetables and fruit for a few days and now I feel better. My ears are still ringing though. [they are still ringing 6 years later.]  (No one else at the party complained of illness afterwards, but they may have been healthier than me. Or ate less of the contaminated cheese. Or they blamed the symptoms on something else. I mean a head ache or bloating could be from anything.)

What does this have to do with life, humanity and environmentalism?  I asked myself when I started to write, and even now I only have a thread of a thought because ....

           I was Poisoned BY CHEESE.

And then there was the case of the important phrase.

I was reading an article. In a waiting room. I didn't keep track of the content because in the middle of it came the phrase       "As ye sow, so shall ye reap."
Of course it means something to me. I do not take the phrase lightly. It stopped me. I put the magazine down. I knew it would come again 2 more times. And then I would have to act upon it.
Again the phrase came as I was reading a facebook article, No Idea what... I tried for a moment to hold it in my poisoned foggy mind, but it faded.
Then this morning I watched a very good movie. It spoke to me of all the things that I believe and what I feel is possible and meaningful with the deep convictions of love. All the way at the very end of the film came the phrase... As ye sow, so shall ye reap.  And finally, I held onto the context.   - When it comes to our children (and their future) -  that was the message that was coming to me.

If cheese can poison me for five days what else am I eating and breathing and thinking that is making me sick?  WOW, there is a LOT we don't know. Or someone knows, but how do I find out? By getting really sick?! Lets face it, the world is astronomically huge in comparison to us, wee people. There is a lot we don't know because we are down here and what ever it is - is over there and well, no one reported it, or I don't have interest, or access until .... well, we just cant Know Everything. And That is How all the poison in the world is happening, out of our line of sight, Behind our backs, praying for our ignorance to remain. The earth is a  sewer and we have remained ignorant, running our little rat mazes, running after the ...Cheese!!...   that is secretly poisoning us!

The poisoned cheese, air, water, soil, food, animals, trees, the hate, the greed, the lies ..... the poison. I want to clean myself inside. I start today. I haven't had any cheese, no milk, no fish, no fat, no cookies cake soda... Tomorrow I drop wheat, corn, and regular market chicken. No more toxic food, hoping to avoid lies and hate as well.  No more poison.

But what about the rest of the world?  What am I going to do about the poison in the rest of the world? Our world?  What Can I DO?

What can I SOW that ALL of US can Reap and Be Glad, Be cleansed, Be FREED from poison and toxic pollution, polluters, liars, thieves,  toxic thoughts and beliefs and actions???

The SEEDS of  Change.

Seeds are IDEAS, the words from my mind to yours that share this thought...

SEEDS are the Gifts of LOVE we give with smiles and shining eyes to as many as possible every day in the hope that this will touch them.

SEEDS are the Wise and Loving WORDS we share with every one each day letting people know the Truth we know in our hearts and the things we have seen.

SEEDS are Our ACTIONS that others bear witness to and learn from and grow through.

And

SEEDS ARE Real tangible SEEDS. The seeds that we will plant to grow new forests and fields to sequester the carbon to heal our environment.

Seeds Of All Kindnesses Will Grow, so Plant them Everywhere.

Toxic thoughts and people and food rob us of energy and block us from outer realities and a healthier consciousness.
My awareness was raised by my own body. It forced me to do what I couldn't with just my thoughts.
So, Take this Knowledge to heart, That Your Body Knows That Something Is Wrong...
Your heart knows when something is wrong... It is our mind that sometimes pushes out the truth, hides away, prevents us from doing what is right, seeks to rationalize a wrong that is being done.

Let the Seeds of Change take root in your Heart, your Body, your Mind.
Let the Seeds of Change take root in you and in those you love,
Give them the Seeds they need to Grow ...
